A developer/client hired the firm to design an addition to a 1940's modern home which was located on a difficult triangular lot in the Allandale neighborhood. The main issue for this home was the lack of privacy created by having two street fronts. The home did not have a private backyard space and felt exposed on three sides. We rearranged the entry sequence and created a master wing that forced a U-shaped floor plan and exterior courtyard became possible within the two wings. Screened elements were also added so the future owners would be able to experience the outdoors. CCA acted as the Architect.
